Here’s a montage Garrett Hyatt edited with footage shot by Grant Forbes.

Grant Forbes made this montage a little over a year ago and sent it privately to his close friends in a file titled ‘G’s-VA_Homies_Montage.mov’ for them to enjoy. That gesture is a true testament of how much Grant cared for and supported his friends.
In the years I’ve known Grant and his work in the documentation of skateboarding, I’ve had the upmost respect for his unique creativity and outlook on life. I was devastated to hear of his passing last Sunday and broke down emotionally while recollecting his art, personality, and all that his friends and our community of skateboarders had lost.
In remembrance, enjoy this montage of footage filmed and edited by Grant Forbes.
A memorial service for Grant will be held Saturday, November 10th at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments’ Chapel located on Laskin Rd. in Virginia Beach, VA. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Grant’s honor to the charity of your choice is suggested.
